System Qualifiers

Horse Racing System Qualifiers System qualifiers are indicated in the Race-Library and Racecards with blue or red circles.

A blue or red circle in the Race-Library means at least one of the runners engaged qualifies for one of your BACK (blue circle) or LAY (red circle) systems.

A blue or red circle in the Racecard indicates the runner qualifies for at least one of your BACK (blue circle) or LAY (red circle) Systems. Click on the circle to see a list of the systems it qualifies for (upto 10 systems will be shown). Double-Click on System names to see a breakdown of Analysis Results (available only if the System has been analysed with the Pro-Analyser). The list will first show only those statistics which pertain to the current race conditions and current runner. Click on any of the column headings to sort by that column's data. Click the Restricted Results button to view results from all restrictions (restrictions pertaining to the current race conditions and current horse will be indicated with an asterisk (*). Click the Criteria button to view the pertinent criteria for the system. Click the Print button to print the list. Click the Export button to export the list to comma-separated values (.CSV) file for use with spreadsheet programs. Click the WLSP/Time button for a graphic representation of the system's Win Level Stakes Profit over Time from all qualifiers.

Black Circles
A black circle means the runner qualifies for a system that was created with an out-of-date version of Pro-Analyser. Its results may no longer be correct and the system should be RESET and re-ANALYSED with the latest version of Pro-Analyser.

Horse Racing System Qualifiers Analysis Results
Analysis Results show the following data..

Wins = The number of Winners in the period tested (shown in the top-left corner of the window).
Runs = The number of qualifiers in the period tested.
W% = Win Strike-Rate (the ratio of winners to qualifiers).
eW% = Expected winners based on returned SPs.
CHI2 = Probability results are NOT due to chance (100% = absolutely not due to chance).
WLSP = Win Level-Stakes Profit (the Profit which would have been achieved if 1 point had been staked to Win on every qualifier at SP).
WPOE = Win Profit on Exposure (the ratio of profit to stakes).
AvWSP = The average SP of all winners.
AvLSP = The average SP of all qualifiers which did not finish 1st.
Sig = Significance. A significance of 1 means qualifiers are no more likely to win than the average runner. A significance of 2 means qualifiers are twice as likely to win than the average runner. A significance of 0.5 means qualifiers are half as likely to win than the average runner.
Placeds = The number of qualifiers which achieved a paid place in the period. (See Placed Rules below).
P% = Placed Strike-Rate (the ratio of placeds to qualifiers).
PLSP = Placed Level Stakes Profit (the Profit which would have been achieved if 1 point had been staked to Place on every qualifier (See Placed Rules below).
PPOE = Place Profit on Exposure (the ratio of profit to stakes) (See Placed Rules below).

Note : For LAY systems; Wins means Losers, W% means Ratio of Losers to Qualifiers, AvWSP means average Loser SP, AvLSP means average Winner SP, Placeds means Unplaced, P% means Ratio of Unplaceds to qualifiers and SIG is expressed as how much more likely qualifiers will lose than the average runner.

Industry SP Placed Rules
Handicaps of 16 or more runners - 1/4 odds first 4 places. Handicaps of 12 to 15 runners - 1/4 odds first 3 places. All other races of 8 or more runners - 1/5 odds first 3 places. Races of 5, 6 and 7 runners - 1/4 odds first 2 places. Races with less than 5 runners - Place money goes on to win.

Betfair SP Placed Rules
Handicaps of 16 or more runners - first 4 places. Handicaps of 12 to 15 runners - first 3 places. All other races of 8 or more runners - first 3 places. Races of 4, 5, 6 and 7 runners - first 2 places. NOTE: In races where there were non-runners Betfair will still pay the number of places appropriate to the number of runners originally declared. Pro-Analyser's results database does not include non-runners and will calculate place stats using the number of runners which actually took part. In short, Placeds, P%, PLSP and PPOE results will be slightly lower than the truth.

Horse Racing System Qualifiers System Qualifier Options (Options menu)
Use these options to set a minimum standard of system by which to qualify runners. Each Restriction in each system's Analysis Results list is in itself a 'system'. Pro Form-Book will check the Analysis Results of all systems for Restriction results which meet the minimum standard of system set up in the System Qualifier Options.

The upper row of options allows you to set up a criteria by which to QUALIFY runners. Criteria includes a minimum sample size (Runs), a minimum Win Strike-Rate (W%) and a minimum Win Profit on Exposure (WPOE). If any restriction results of any system meet this criteria then runners will QUALIFY.

The lower row of options allows you to set up criteria by which to DISQUALIFY runners. Criteria includes a minimum sample size (Runs), a MAXIMUM Win Strike-Rate (W%) and a MAXIMUM Win Profit on Exposure (WPOE). If any restriction results of any system meet this criteria then runners will be DISQUALIFIED.

Disqualifier options override Qualifier options.
Eg: If you have a system which returned a profit from ALL qualifers but returned losses from qualifiers which last ran more than 300 days ago (from a sample of at least say, 100 runs) then by setting the Disqualifier options to Runs >=100 and WPOE <0% these runners will be disqualified.

Click Restore Defaults to restore all options to their defaults to allow all qualifiers of all systems to be indicated.

NOTE: Race analysis takes longer when System Qualifier Options are used.

To avoid the need to use System Qualifier Options, create new systems with criteria which disqualifies unwanted runners. Eg: Using the example above, create an identical system but add the criteria; DSR < 300.
