Visual Form-Book - Ratings Handicap Ratings are compiled by DataForm's own independent computer handicappers but can be edited to form your own Private Handicap. Speed Ratings are compiled from DataForm's own Standard Times for all UK and Irish Courses and Distances. A plus (+) sign after Speed Ratings indicates the Going was probably softer than the Official Going suggests (All times of all results at each meeting are compared with Handicap Ratings to determine the accuracy of the Official Going). A minus (--) sign after Speed Ratings indicates the Going was probably firmer than the Official Going suggests. A plus (+) sign after Handicap Ratings indicates the horse could have achieved a much better Rating (because it won with something in hand or was unlucky in running).
